im havin MAJOR probs with my pc......monitor keeps shuttin down and my gfx card blew....wont be on ET till i get a new system.....can only go on net in short bursts cos of the prob....hope to cya all as soon as poss

thought i had it sorted but nope....boreas helped with some stuff......but i got a prob with monitor goin into standby all the time...can only run in safe mode...so it looks like i have to buy a new system......suggestions on components welcome Smile

Try to disable the stand by of the monitor (desktop, right click, dysplay properties or so ..) and setup the refresh rate of the monitor lower. Also you can try to switch to 16 bit colors not 32, maybe it helps , ah.... and maybe you have a driver for the monitor, update it. Also desinstall the monitor from the hardware manager and reboot to reinstall it. Good luck Razz

monitor is standard plug n play tft...didnt have drivers seperate.....ive already updated gfx card....i will try those settings to see if they work......but i was talkin to my son in law....he said that it sounds like a capacitor on the mother board has burned out and i prob need a new 1

tried those settings...it still wont work...so it looks like im offline till i get my pc Sad
